The Bruce Weiner Collection on display at the Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum will go under the auctioneers hammer on February 15 and 16, 2013. The auction will be held in Madison, Georgia. This collection is slated to be the largest collection of little cars in the world and its collector Weiner has spent over 15 years of his life collecting these 200 odd pint sized vehicles all of which are in pristine condition. Each of these mini cars are seen in the brightest of colors and reflect Weiner’s fascination for rare and noteworthy micro cars which till date have attracted a throng of visitors from across the globe.
Weiner now hopes that through this auction he will be able to share his passion for such cars with other collectors and has hence decided to put up the entire collection of 200 cars and 300 other collectibles on auction. The entire collection will also come with neon signages, kiddie rides, literature and vending machines and candy dispensers all part of his collection from the 1950s.
“Bruce Weiner is the consummate collector with an incredible sense of fun and remarkable eye for rarity and quality-elements that are all perfectly reflected in his prized collection,” says Rob Myers, Chairman and Founder, RM Auctions. “As a microcar collection, the Bruce Weiner Museum is unequivocally the finest of its kind worldwide. With many items having been closely guarded in private ownership, and the vast majority coming to public auction for the first time, the sale is truly unprecedented. We are honored to have been selected by Bruce to present his museum collection, and we look forward to welcoming enthusiasts to what promises to be an unbelievably fun and unforgettable weekend.”
