Wissol not ruling out further Increase in Fuel Prices
One of the country’s largest oil importers Wissol is not ruling out a further increase in fuel prices. At the end of last week, the company already put up the prices by 5 Tetri per litre. The Director General of Wissol Vasil Khorava has stated that globally, the price of fuel has increased by around 15 Tetri per litre during the past month – a fact which led to last week’s price increase. Mr. Khorava does not rule out a further 5 Tetri increase in the future.
On the other hand, the company Gulf still has no plans of putting the prices up. However, a spokesman for the company said that internal discussions are currently taking place on the issue. In response to TV3’s question as to whether there is a basis for the oil importers to increase fuel prices, the economics expert Levan Kalandadze has said that problems with high prices will continue for the motorists in the future.
