Will Condoleezza Rice become an advisor to Bidzina Ivanishvili? Reports are being circulated that the former US Secretary of State has offered to help the Georgian Dream government to “form a better understanding of Washington’s conjuncture.”
The meeting between Ms. Rice and a Georgian delegation took place at the Stanford University, where the former Secretary of State is currently working as a Professor of Political Science. The Georgian side is being represented by the Chairman of the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Tedo Japaridze, the Member of Parliament Tina Khidasheli, and the Ambassador of Georgia to the United States Archil Gegeshidze.
According to reports, the Georgian delegation has already received advice from Ms. Rice on the issues of regional security and relations with Russia. Precisely what form this cooperation will take, will be announced upon the delegation’s return to Georgia at the end of the week.
