It is as yet unclear whether or not the company Agrotrans Limited – owned by the former Defence Minister Davit Kezerashvili – will lose its monopoly on the oil market. The Court of Appeals has delayed the hearing of the case until 2 October due to the holiday period. The Court only managed to hear Agrotrans Limited’s side at the last hearing. The two sides provide differing assessments for the Court’s decision. The lawyer representing Agrotrans Limited also denies any links to Mr. Kezerashvili, claiming that the company is owned by the Russian-based billionaire businessman Davit Iakobashvili.
