Works on the construction of the Tbilisi Free Industrial Zone were initially meant to commence as far back as in 2010, but nothing has been started to this day. The Israeli company Tera-1, tasked with carrying out the project, has told TV3 that talks on the issue of the Tbilisi Free Industrial Zone are to be resumed in the near future. The company has been unable to specify the date when works are to commence, but claims that intense negotiations are taking place with the Ministry of the Economy. A spokesman at the Ministry, while not denying that negotiations with Tera-1 are taking place, has stated that the construction of the zone will depend upon investors coming forward.
