The new initiative regarding a tougher legislation dealing with terrorism-related hoax calls has been backed by 89 Members of Parliament. The new legislation will see hoaxes punished with fines, corrective labour sentences of up to two years, and prison sentences of up to 5 years. In aggravating circumstances, the prison terms can be increased to 7 years. The most recent bomb hoax was reported at one of the schools in Tbilisi yesterday. The spate of false bomb threats began several days ago.
