The Government is keeping its Promises on the Economy

Bidzina Ivanishvili states that the government is keeping all its pre-election promises regarding the economy. According to the Georgian Prime Minister, work has been done in the agricultural sector with success; 81 credits have been issued to 60 manufacturers, with a further 24 being considered; the number of tourists has increased by 31%; and the government is proactive in tackling issues in every area of the economy. Mr. Ivanishvili has also spoken for the first time about his meeting with representatives of British Petroleum and Socar regarding the construction of the new Shahdeniz pipeline, which is to cost 40 billion USD. The Prime Minister states that 2 billion USD out of these funds will be invested in Georgia, creating numerous jobs, and increasing the volume of cheap natural gas threefold.
