Will the suspended investment projects be restarted? At the initiative of the Ministry of the Economy, the National State Property Agency has already presented a special commission with recommendations regarding 41 investment projects, which range from altering the terms of the contracts to the waiving of fines for failure to fulfil contractual obligations. An agency spokesman has told TV3 that fines of up to GEL 630 000 have already been waived in 4 cases. The majority of the investment projects deal with construction. According to the spokesman, resuming the projects will have a positive effect upon the investment climate. The agency is currently dealing with 10 cases, and the talk is of waiving fines of up to GEL 4 million in total.
