Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber triumph at MTV Europe Music awards

Pair each go home with three awards as South Korean internet phenomenon Psy wins the Best Video prize

Taylor Swift has triumphed at the MTV Europe Music awards. The 22-year old singer picked up three awards at the ceremony in Frankfurt, winning Best Female Act, Best Live Act and Best Look.

Swift said: “I am so excited I can’t believe you gave me three awards. I’m kind of insecure in general – so this is great for my self-confidence.”
Her success was matched by that of Justin Bieber, who also won three awards: Best Male, Best Pop and Best World Stage.
South Korean internet phenomenon Psy took the coveted Best Video prize.
The event included performances from Rita Ora, Alicia Keys and the Killers and was hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum.
