The COMMERCIAL TIMES

Tax-Free Shopping becomes available for tourists in Georgia from July 5. According to the new initiative by the Revenue service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, TFS will allow shoppers to reclaim the VAT (Value-Added Tax)/GST (Goods and Services Tax) they have paid on their shopping in Georgia. Promoting the tax rebate and making it easier for tourists to claim it back will help the country to attract more travelers. The acquired goods must be wrapped and the tourist should submit payment bills at the airport to reclaim their VAT back.

The Tax-Free Shopping is very popular in many countries worldwide.
