Talks on establishing a new Working Majority in the City Council have started
Talks on establishing of a new working majority within the Tbilisi City Council have begun, according to the head of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia faction in the Council, Zaza Gabunia. He describes the deliberation process as complex, and says that it would be very premature to talk about its potential outcomes. Yesterday’s decision made by the former head of the United National Movement faction within the Council, Koki Ionatamishvili, to leave the UNM has enabled the beginning of the discussions about creating a new working majority. Another member of the UNM faction, Temur Grigalashvili, has claimed that the Georgian Dream coalition is attempting to establish a ruling majority within the City Council through intimidation and money.
