State Chancellery Cancels Contracts with Algorithm
The sole manufacturer of computer technology in Transcaucasia, the company Algorithm, has had its contracts with up to 14 different State departments cancelled. This information has been confirmed by the company itself, who state that despite having won in three consolidated tenders, their contracts with various State bodies have been annulled. The company adds that despite sustaining considerable damage, it intends to follow the process to the end, and await further developments.
The company, which is owned by Vano Merablishvili’s close friend Girogi Korakhashvili, recently became the target of the State Audit Service, who concluded that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had been giving Algorithm contracts at rates of 30% above their actual value.
