Smart Supermarkets to stop selling Bomba! Energy Drinks

According to TV3’s information, the supermarket chain Smart has ceased supplying the Bomba! energy drink. According to a spokesperson, it has been replaced with another brand of energy drinks, Effect. The sales figures for Bomba! have failed to meet expectations. Effect has been on sale for a month, and is expected to provide serious competition on the energy drink market. The other product provided by Smart, the Baramber energy drink, has already been on sale for a year, and the supermarket chain expects it to challenge Red Bull and XL on the market. However, these two leading brands only acknowledge each other as serious rivals. A spokesman for Red Bull has stated that sales have increased by 34% compared to the previous year, while a representative of XL has stated that according to the customs data, the brand holds 60% of the enrgy drinks market.
