Russian Market Opens to Georgian Fruit and Vegetables Today

The Russian market will open to the Georgian fruit and vegetables today. According to a statement from the National Food Agency, it will be possible to export Georgian grapes, nuts, citrus fruits, apples, pears and quinces to Russia from October 14. Exports of tea, laurel and dried fruit have been permitted since 28 June 2013. Georgian fruit will be available on the Russian market for the first time in 7 years following an embargo.
