Russian Market Opens for Georgian Wines

Georgian wine export to the Russian market has started. Telavi Wine Cellar expects for excise approval from the Russian market by June 20. As Zurab Ramazashvili, Chair of Board of Trustees of the company, told TV3, Telavi Wine Cellar will export 200 thousand wines for the first phase. In his words, prices will vary from USD 2 to USD 8. As for another Georgian wine producer Tbilvino, the company is still going through the registration process. Giorgi Margvelashvili, the company will receive excise approval when the registration process is finished. For the first phase they plan to export 90-100 thousand bottles, prices per bottle will vary from USD 2.5 to USD 8.5.
