Publishing companies could take their case against the Ministry of Education to the court in Strasbourg. The attorney Tamta Ivanishvili, representing up to 18 publishers, does not rule out having to resort to this step. For the past four months, the publishing companies have been protesting against the Education Ministry’s initiative to distribute public school textbooks free of charge. Ms. Ivanishvili states that the case is currently being heard by the Constitutional Court. However, should the Constitutional Court attempt to delay the proceedings, then the case would be referred to the court in Strasbourg.
