Prosecutor General’s Office Ready to Request Giorgi Sabanadze’s Extradition

The Prosecutor General’s Office has already prepared the documents necessary to request the extradition of Giorgi Sabanadze. The material will be sent to the authorities in Italy, where the former head of the Tbilisi Development Fund was arrested. The Prosecutor General’s Office is accusing his of appropriating up to GEL 34 million in State funds. Earlier, the Mayor of Tbilisi had claimed that Georgia will be unable to get Mr. Sabanadze extradited.
