Does one of the provisions of the Patarkatsishvili family’s contract with the State go against Vano Chkhartishvili? The latter’s attorney Dimitri Gabunia has told TV3 that the details of the contract will become public in the near future, and that there is a high probability of the family’s disputes with Mr. Chkhartishvili figuring in the terms of the agreement. According to Mr. Gabunia, the dispute began after the agreement was signed, and while the late businessman’s family could have filed their objections towards Mr. Chkhartishvili following Badri Patarkatsishvili’s death, they chose to do so 4 years later. In the lawsuit, the family accuses Mr. Chkhartishvili of appropriating and selling assets from businesses which he ran jointly with Badri Patarkatsishvili. According to Mr. Gabunia, the details of the case are being studied by a renowned American investigative firm.
On 10 July 2013, Ina Gudavadze withdrew the lawsuit from the Tbilisi Municipal Court, citing the hearing of the case by the courts in the British Virgin Islands as the reason. On 4 October, Ms. Gudavadze also withdrew the lawsuit from the latter court.
