Political opposition’s caprice –such is the Georgian Dream Coalition’s assessment of the calls for the Prosecutor General, Otar Partskhaladze, to be relieved of his duties.
The governing party has described the opposition’s demands as unserious and stated that the government has no plans to dismiss Mr Partskhaladze. The United National Movement is accusing the Prosecutor General of threatening and applying pressure on Vano Merabishvili, and claims that Mr Partskhaladze represents a conflicting party in this case, which renders him unsuitable for leading the investigation process.
