What has changed since the Indian company Jindal Petroleum Ltd. began exploring oil and gas reserves in Georgia in 2009? The company’s director general in Georgia Beka Odisharia has told TV3 that due to the aggressive policies pursued by the Indian company, the oil extraction figures have already matched those from the Saknavtobi period. According to Mr. Odisharia, between 600 and 700 barrels of oil are being extracted in the country on a daily basis. He adds that Georgian oil is primarily being exported to the Black Sea countries.
