If you can’t stand the thought of using a Symbian phone in this day and age, but can’t resist the allure of having a 41-megapixel camera in your pocket, fret not, hope is here.

Jo Harlow, Nokia’s executive vice president, told a Finnish newspaper that the company would be bringing the Nokia PureView 808′s camera sensor to a Windows Phone device.

“I can’t say precisely when, but it will not take very long,” she reportedly said, based on a rough translation of her words.

Given Microsoft’s control of the operating system, it’s likely that Nokia will have to wait for updated software in order to make full use of the PureView camera. This is likely to happen when the rumored Apollo update lands, though there’s no firm date of when that will happen.
