Joint legal action against the Bank of Georgia (BOG) will no longer be taking place. A few weeks ago, the development company Arsi, the instant payments company Nova Technologies, and several transport companies were discussing the possibility of initiating legal action against the BOG on a joint basis. However, a lawyer representing Nova Technologies now states that forming an alliance against the BOG could cause confusion. According to Ucha Kiria, every company has a specific case against the bank, and therefore each case should be heard individually. The Nova Technologies case, which relates to the company accusing the BOG of trying to monopolise the instant payments market, is currently being reviewed in court.
