President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili who is spending his vacation with his family in Georgia’s Bakhmaro resort (Guria region) visited a new contemporary style hotel, which has been constructed completely with Georgian investments. The hotel with accommodation capacities of tens of visitors is expected to open soon.

Saakashvili stated that Bakhmaro is gaining a status of an international resort and it will be included in the list of winter resorts from the next year.

“When we started reconstruction works in Tbilisi, some people said that we were taking care of the capital only. Then we moved to Batumu, which is a new world wonder. That time Kutaisi population complained on us and we proved wrong to them and started renovation there. And there came Kakhetians with their own complaints and instantly we began reconstruction works in Telavi, which will soon be one of the most distinguished cities in the country.  The most abandoned, however, was Samtskhe-Javakheti and we constructed a huge railway center there, which will be soon completed under the supervision of Ramaz Nikolaishvili. This really is the project of the millennium,” declared the President. “The main message carried throughout my speech is that the development will reach everywhere. Moreover, I would say that half of Batumi is a wonder but the other half still looks bad and we will reach every point and the development process will get to every individual step by step. Next region on my agenda is Guria, special focus is on Lanchkhuti.”
