In May 2012, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 116.7 million USD (or 189.8 million GEL), which is 7.1 million USD (or 11.6 million GEL), or 6.5 percent more than the same amount for May 2011.
91.0 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 11 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in May. In May 2011 the share of these 11 countries constituted 88.4 percent of the total volume of money transfers.
