According to a statement from the University Hospital, the number of patients has increased by 20-30% since the State program came into effect. The Director of the hospital Gocha Ingorokva reports an increase in the numbers of both the planned and the emergency cases. According to him, there are numerous patients who could not afford treatment prior to the program coming into effect. There are, however, still a few minor technical flaws associated with the Universal Healthcare program, Mr. Ingorokva adds.
