Mikheil Saakashvili meets Jose Manuel Barroso

Mikheil Saakashvili has met the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the progress in the relations between Georgia and the European Union. According to Mr. Barroso, the new Georgian government ought to maintain its course, and not to slow down the progress. He sees the upcoming Vilnius Summit as a significant point in bringing Georgia and European Union closer together still. Following the meeting, both sides made joint statements to the media.
