Will the results of the Mayor’s Office tender for the public microbus taxis be reviewed? The City Council’s commission for protection of human rights is working on the legal case submitted by the former owners of the microbus taxis against the company Tbilisi Microbus. According to the member of the commission Davit Gabunia, questions are being asked with regards to both the tendering process and the subsequent activities of the winning company. He claims that the review is being hampered by the interests which senior figures at the Mayor’s Office have in Tbilisi Microbus. However, the City Council is considering the option of holding a new tender.
Up to 1000 members of an initiative group have signed the complaint against Tbilisi Microbus which was submitted to the City Council.
