Memorandum on Constructing Power Stations was signed with Turkish Anadulo Group

(CNA)- A memorandum on constructing new power stations was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia and Turkish Anadulo Group. The memorandum was signed today by Kakha Kaladze, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia and Tugban Izzet Aksoy, Energy Direction Coordinator of Anadulo Group.

According to the memorandum, the company takes responsibility to construct 300 megawatt hydro power stations.

Currently, Anadulo Group is constructing 85 megawatt hydro power station at the Paravani River in Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Investment value of the project is USD 125 million. 630 people are employed on construction site.

The construction of the hydro power station was started in 2009 and will be exploited in 2015.

In winter the company will sell the electricity on the local market and in other seasons will export it.
