Ordinary inspection conducted by the Revenue Office of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia (MOF) at the Media Palitra Holding was by different discussions from some political parties, presuming the inspection could disturb the process of the media holding activities.

However, the holding says they’re working in usual regime as the inspection caused only insignificant obstructions.

The officials of the Revenue Office released a special statement on June 8, which says that it was an ordinary material-technical inventorization, which the office conducts in similar organizations systematically and Media Palitra is not an exception. The statement also says that such inspection has not been conducted in the four branches of the holding thus far. The inspection is a simple and brief procedure, which will not cause obstructions to the operation of the organization.

The Revenue Office calls upon political parties to abstain from politicizing such issues and activities of the office, which is carried out in the frames of law.
