Former Energy Minister Mamuka Nikolaishvili could renounce Georgian citizenship, according to his own statement on Inga Grigolia’s Big Politics show on TV3. Mr. Nikolaishvili stated that he has met with the Prosecutor General Archil Kbilashvili, the Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani, as well as other members of the parliamentary majority, discussing the issue of his return to Georgia, but failed to obtain specific answers from them. He has also written to the Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, but once again failed to receive a reply. According to Mr. Nikolaishvili, he wishes to return to Georgia on the terms of his truthfulness, rather than the terms that are being offered to him – “come back, and we will release you on bail.”
