Magticom is entering the television market. The company has obtained a 10 year broadcasting license, and is expected to launch its 24 hour channel next year. A spokesman for Magticom has told TV3 that the channel will focus on entertainment, although the precise nature of the scheduled programs has not been specified. Magticom has also been unable to provide either the channel name, or an approximate date for its launch. The company is already represented on the satellite broadcasting market through Magtisat, which began operating in January 2012.
