TV3 has found out that the lawsuit which had been submitted by the fast payment services company Nova Technologies against the Bank of Georgia has been rejected by the courts. The company has already appealed this decision. Nova Technologies claim that the BOG had been unlawfully awarded exclusive rights to the use of Metromoney’s services, since no other company had been allowed to participate in the Tbilisi Metro’s tendering process. Moreover, Nova Technologies’ attorney Ucha Kiria has revealed that the company is preparing another lawsuit against the BOG. On this occasion, the issue concerns the setting of a 0% tariff on fast payments by the Bank. Nova Technologies claim that the BOG is using price dumping in order to sink its rivals on the market.
