How attractive is the business environment in Georgia? Thomas Lubeck, the International Finance Corporation’s regional manager for South Caucasus, has told TV3 that he expects the 4% economic growth which had been forecasted by international organisation to be achieved. According to him, agriculture and infrastructure are the main areas for potential investment for the IFC. He adds that the global economic problems affect the economic environment in the country, and foreign investors are shying away from making large investments at this stage. Nevertheless, according to Mr. Lubeck, the business environment in Georgia remains attractive, and the IFC plans to conduct further investments here.
