Infrastructural Works in Adjara

Construction works are under way in the Adjara region on building new houses and hotels. The head of the local government Archil Khabadze has told TV3 that all projects planned for within this year’s Budget will be completed, and a number of earlier infrastructure projects will be resumed.
According to Mr. Khabadze, active talks are taking place with foreign investors for the purposes of executing various projects. Construction of new holiday complexes and catering businesses is also being planned. The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili had earlier claimed that all the infrastructural development projects initiated by him in Adjara had been suspended recently.
