The number of registered debtors has increased. According to the current data, the number of individuals and companies with debt problems exceeds 90 000 – an increase by 15 000 compared to the same period last year. A spokesman for the National Bureau of Enforcement has told TV3 that managing the registry of debtors is a lively and dynamic process, with changes to the data applied on an hourly basis. Individuals and companies who pay what they owe are immediately struck off the registry.

The registry of debtors is a combined database which lists every affected individual and legal entity. It was established by the National Bureau of Enforcement in 2010, and those registered on it are subject to enforcement action taken against them by the Bureau.
