Has the mandatory labelling of eggs improved the situation on the market? The decision to make the labelling of eggs mandatory was made by the National Food Agency several months ago, and according to the Chairman of the Association of Poulterers, it has led to a significant improvement of the situation on the market. The labels stating the country of origin and the production date of the eggs offer consumers more protection from purchasing products of unknown origin and those that are past their sell-by date.
