The National Food Agency will today begin inspecting the manufacturers of ice cream products. A spokesman for the Agency has told TV3 that the inspection process will only create discomfort for those companies which have problems maintaining hygienic standards. The inspection process has been initiated by the National Food Agency due to the high public demand on ice cream products during the summer. The NGO Momkhmarebeli.ge has stated that following an inspection carried out by them, certain ice cream products were found to be bacterially contaminated.
