How safe is it to swim in the Tbilisi Sea and other artificial lakes in the capital? According to a spokesman at the Environment Protection Agency within the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection, tests have been carried out at all waterside resorts in the city, and found the waters to satisfy all the necessary standards, and to be perfectly safe for the visitors. Samples taken from the waters at the Tbilisi Sea, the Turtle Lake and the Lisi Lake have been analysed for microbiological and chemical safety, and were found to comply with the safety standards in every component. The Environment Protection Agency carries out tests at the waterside resorts in the capital on a monthly basis.
