As reported earlier, the Georgian Foreign Ministry has urged its nationals to refrain from travelling to Egypt for their holidays. Massive waves of protests are currently gripping the country. A spokesman for the World Tour travel company has stated that demand for holiday packages to Egypt has been reduced by 50% compared to last year. On the other hand, a representative from the Intercontinental travel company claims that there has actually been an increase of between 7% and 18% in the number of people wishing to holiday in Egypt, and that the political situation in the country has had no effect on the company’s activities.
