Harvesting Chasselas Grapes

Leading wine companies have been speaking about new-found freedoms from government pressure. According to Giorgi Margvelashvili, the Director General of the company Tbilghvino, State intervention into this year’s harvesting process has been minimal compared to the previous years. He adds that the winemakers’ interests have been considered on many issues by the current government.
Giorgi Margvelashvili’s views have been shared by the company Badagoni. Company spokeswoman Lisa Bagrationi has told TV3 that the State’s attitude towards the wine business is radically different from the previous years, and that this year’s grape harvest is free from government pressure.
