The Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava has addressed the City Council with two initiatives, both of which require amending the city budget. One of them concerns the housing fellowships, while the other has a social character. In the first case, Mr. Ugulava is asking for a GEL 3 million increase to the funding of the fellowships, in order to carry out the projects which, according to the Mayor, were suspended due to the reduction in the financing in August. In the second instance, a sum of GEL 300 000 is being asked for in order to fund free public bus travel for the socially vulnerable.
