Georgia’s Preferential Agro Credits

Preferential agro credits program got activated in the end of March.11 commercial banks and 2 microfinance organizations are engaged in the project.

Credits are issues in three categories: first- up to GEL 5000 with zero interest rate, second-from GEL 5 000 to GEL 100 000 with 8% interest rate and third-up to GEL 1 million with 3% interest rate. The last one will be given for plant constructions.

According to the latest data, up to GEL 18 million has already been issued, out of which around GEL 7 million-for plant constructions.
