Georgian Prime Minister Signed a Decree on Ministers’ Salaries Reduction with 12%

Members of the government of Georgia will have their salaries cut. According to the decree signed by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, monthly salaries of the ministers will be reduced with 12%. PM says there is a need for reducing state budget expenditures. Ivanishvili claims that his government will abolish the practice of the previous government, when ministers used to allocate themselves monthly bonuses.

The Ministers’ cut salaries will be GEL 6 300 and the bonuses will be paid to them only once a year.
