Georgian Government to Create State Company for Assisting Farmers

State Company for Exporting Georgian Fruit and Vegetables-a new special state company will assist farmers to sell their products. Prime Minister of Georgia Vano Merabishvili introduced this initiative to the farmers and entrepreneurs in Tskaltubo on August 3.

According to the project, in every region of Georgia special collecting stores of fruit and vegetables will be opened, where the product will be sorted, packed and stored with highest standards. Georgian railway and aviation will be also intensively involved in the process of the export of the stored product.

The state company will also assist the farmers in transportation procedures.
