(CNA)-Amendments to the legislation comes into force from June 10, according to which new rules will be activated in respect to license issue by National Food Agency of Georgia and Revenue Service of Georgia.
As Giga Kurdadze, representative of the National Food Agency of Georgia, told TV3, limitations will be set for meat and egg importer countries. Date of production and quality certification must be indicated on the product.
According to National Food Agency of Georgia, the main goal of setting the limitations is to minimize the damage that might be caused by risk-containing imported products. Moreover, the agency will be able to conduct veterinary control and reveal the precuts imported from non-reliable countries.
