Georgia’s Minister of Finance to Announce Grant Programme for Students

During the meeting held with economy and business faculty students from different universities, Kakha Baindurashvili, the Minister of Finance of Georgia announced the launch of a grant programme. The meeting, initiated by the young members of the National Movement took place on March 2 at State Chancellery. The programme will start on June 1.

“This will be a small grant programme concerning the most popular topics in our society. The student who comes up with the best interesting idea will win the grant. Such meetings are truly useful as we’re given an opportunity to discuss essential issues with future economists and finance specialists,” declared Finance Minister.

The Minister discussed various topics with students including: economic situation, fiscal policy, deficit, inflation, government loans, government’s role in economic development, new tax code.
