From 2019 separate gambling zone will be developed in Georgia. As Levan Akhvlediani, Head of the Georgian Gambling Association told radio Commersant, this is the maximum compromise gambling sector can afford. The association addressed the commission after the initiative about gambling forbiddance was announced by the Parliament majority. According to the address, moratorium should be announced on license issue starting from January 1, 2014 and this period must be used for moving gambling business to a separate zone. In Akvlediani’s words, the commission accepted the address. Exact date when the decision will be made unknown.
