CONCORD, N.H. — It’s a Ford lover’s dream: Nearly 50 classic cars, including V-8 Fords, Mercurys, Lincolns and woodies are up for auction this weekend in New Hampshire.

The items offered by former Ford Motor Co. Director Michael Dingman also include more than 1,000 neon, porcelain and tin signs spanning the 1930s through the 1960s. Many are automotive-themed; others advertise soft drinks. There’s a series of Route 66 markers.

Michael Fairbairn, co-founder of RM Auctions, says Dingman loved collecting the cars and views it as a calling in life to leave behind great ones.

The auction in Hampton has attracted interest from as far away as the Middle East. A preview is being held Friday and the auction itself is Saturday and Sunday.
