Forced Payments made to the State

TV3 has found out that in a few days, the influential NGO Transparency International Georgia will present the case of companies which were forced to make payments under the previous government to the Prosecutor’s Office. The case involves materials relating to 5 companies.

164 million GEL, 12 million USD and 10 000 EUR are the total sums that have been extracted from the companies by the previous regime between 2004 and 2012. Transparency International Georgia say that forced payments were received by the state from companies such as Tbilaviamsheni, Goodwill, Mate Motors and Airzena. The NGO states that it plans to film a documentary on this subject in the near future.
