According to Davit Usupashvili’s statement, the government’s financial and economic planning could have been carried out better. The Speaker of the Parliament added that questions should be asked about the economic team’s work in particular. Mr. Usupashvili’s comments follow the recently published Sakstat data, according to which the economic growth rate was 0.8% in June. In response, the Finance Minister has stated that the growth rate is increasing slowly but stably. He adds that he is prepared to meet Mr. Usupashvili and answer any of his questions. As to when the meeting of the government’s economic team will take place in the Parliament, is still not known.
